Luxury on a budget! Monaco!
We found the perfect travel route in the french riviera.
So this of course includes Monaco!
I`m not going to much into detail about the travel route we had in the french riviera in this post but will make a separate post later.
This post I will share my thoughts and experiences I got when spending my holiday in Monaco.
I traveled with a close friend and we where on a tight budget or well in terms of stays/accommodations etc..
Normally we stay at very nice high end hotels but on this trip we didn’t really know what to expect so we made the trip on a budget (Overspent it by 3 times lol).
The first thing we did was some research on hotels near by and we found out that if you have a hotel at the right side of the “border” its a lot to save.
So our hotel was located in the hill side of Monaco but on the french side so it was kinda half priced.
Pros and cons was fairly simple it was cheap so it saved us money. It was far up so it cost us more in therms of time spent walking and getting around.
However the bus was fairly cheap, think about 2 euros.
There is a lot to see and experience in Monaco but for some you might wanna check the price tags, cause some stuff might be very pricey.
Il give you some examples, we went to a restaurant and I bought a long island ice tea and my friend bought a sprite.
Dont remember quite what my long island costs but it wasn’t to bad however the sprite was 9.50 Euro.
Another place near the harbor I payed around 3 euro for a beer and that`s not to bad.
However the same place during the busy night hours was completely different.
The same beer now cost 23 euros up from 3 euros.
One thing that was truly amazing in Monaco was the harbor, so many big yachts, super cars and millionaires.
I highly suggest to check out the Casino if you ever in Monaco, its next to Hermitage Hotel.
We spent one evening in the casino. The night started pretty good as I won 3-4 times on the rullet but as any other casino the house always win in the end.
Also worth mentioning is that the drinks was very pricey inside the Casino.
And when you get there you have to pay an entrance fee of 10 euro and also remember to bring your passport or other Id as you will not be able to enter without it.
Its not allowed to take pictures inside the casino sadly but Id say its the most prestigious casino in the world, no doubt about it.
Another recommendation is to take the guided bus in Monaco.
Our biggest mistake on this trip was that we did the bus trip the last day and not the first day.
It showed us so many great spots and views! The bus had around 13 different stops around in Monaco.
I took the tour twice (Cause I forgot my Camera the first trip). The price was 23 euros.
(Free cognac, or other drinks while waiting for the tailor to fix the outfits) (Brooks brothers at Monaco yacht club)
If you got any questions, dont hesesitat to ask and Il reply as soon as possible.
